Standard Style R Ring Type Joints are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A size/ratings. Available in both oval and octagonal configurations, both types are interchangeable on the modern octagonal type grooved flanges.

Offshore Seals manufactures the BX type RTJ gaskets in accordance with API 6A and are suitable for use in high pressure API 6BX flanges. This type of gasket forms a metal to metal seal on assembling and the efficiency improves as internal pressure increases. All BX sizes have a pressure relief hole to equalize pressure across sealing faces.

The BX type Ring Joint Gaskets are available in sizes from BX150 to BX303.

NOTE:

Hole diameter shall be as follows:

1.5 mm for Rings RX82 through RX85;

2.4 mm for Rings RX86 and RX87;

3 mm for Rings RX88 through RX91.
